Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021: Sreesanth claims five-wicket haul as Kerala bundle out Uttar Pradesh for 283

Sreesanth took his second five-wicket haul in List A cricket.

Sreesanth | TwitterSpeedster Sreesanth turned back the clock and displayed a brilliant bowling performance in Kerala’s second game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021 against Uttar Pradesh at the KSCA Cricket Ground, Alur on Monday (February 22).

Asked to bat first, Uttar Pradesh got off to a brilliant start as the duo of Abhishek Goswami and Karan Sharma added 93 runs for the opening wicket.

Jalaj Saxena drew the first blood by removing Karan for 34, while Sreesanth dismissed Abhishek on 54.

In the middle-overs, Akshdeep Nath was playing brilliantly and was looking all set for his fifth List A ton before Sreesanth cut short his innings on 68 off 60 balls.

Afterwards, Sreesanth ran through the lower-order, dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohsin Khan and Shivam Sharma to claim his second five-wicket haul in List A cricket.

Apart from Sreesanth (5-65), Sachin Baby took a couple of wickets as Kerala bundled out Uttar Pradesh for 283 in 49.4 overs.
