Maharashtra batsmen Kedar Jadhav and Naushad Shaikh scored unbeaten half-centuries against Chattisgarh to win the match by 8 wickets. It was the Elite Group 'C' match of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament.

Jadhav, who had a poor outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), smashed 84* to help his side chase down 193 in 20 overs. His IPL side, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans were happy as well as a little upset as they needed similar innings from him during the IPL 2020.

The CSK batsmen could only score 62 runs in the entire season after playing 8 matches with a strike-rate of 93.93. There were few games when Jadhav had to do the job of a finisher and he failed badly.

Twitter recalled his mediocre performance with the bat during the tournament. Some feel it's too late and he shouldn't be retained by CSK, while few felt if he continues such form, the franchise should consider going ahead with him.
