The growing popularity of the T20 format has brought innovation in cricket. Batsmen often unveil unorthodox shot at the last moment to trick the bowlers.
We saw one such instance during a Super Smash match between Otago and Central Districts. The Otago batsman Neil Broom reverse ramped Blair Tickner for a six.
Otago were chasing 224 and it was the 11th over of the match when Broom surprised the bowler with a reverse ramp shot on the fourth delivery.

It was a ball overpitched outside off and Broom had to adjust a bit before comfortably clearing the fence over the third man for a six.
The commentators enjoyed the skillful shot from Broom and they lauded him on-air. However, he couldn't last long as Joye Field dismissed him in the next over.
Central Districts won the match by 53 after restricting Otago on 170/8 in 20 overs. Ajaz Patel picked up three wickets for them in four overs and gave away 34 runs.
