Veteran India opener Shikhar Dhawan has been named the captain of the Delhi team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, starting January 10.

Pacer Ishant Sharma, who couldn’t travel to Australia with the national team due to an injury, has also been included in the 42-member probables.
Ishant had sustained a rib injury while playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Subsequently, he underwent rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
India’s 2012 U-19 World Cup-winning skipper, Unmukt Chand, who had moved to Uttarkhand last season, has been brought back into the Delhi side.
The senior selection committee of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Friday (December 25) announced an oversized squad, considering the fact that the tournament will be played inside a bio-bubble and there wouldn't be much scope for changes later.
Delhi is placed in Group E alongside Mumbai, Haryana, Kerala, Andhra and Puducherry. They will open their campaign against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium on January 11.
