"My stars are aligned at the moment and I am in a happy zone," TOI quoted Unadkat as saying. "I have always believed that everything happens at the right time and this is my time. Ranji Trophy success and getting engaged, life is wonderful."

Unadkat revealed that this is an arranged affair and he first met Rinny only three months ago. "My parents had started their search on finding a partner for me last year and finally it was three months ago that things fell in place," he said.

Rinny's hometown Junagadh, Gujarat hosted the engagement in a ceremony where only family and close friends were invited. Unadkat's Saurashtra teammate and dear friend Cheteshwar Pujara and his wife were also in attendance. Unadkat confirmed the wedding will take place by the end of the year.

"We have not zeroed on any of the dates as of now, but most likely it will happen at the end of this year," said the man.

Unadkat's dream run also saw him break a 21-year-old record for the most wickets by a fast bowler in a single Ranji Trophy season, surpassing Karnataka's Dodda Ganesh, who scalped 65 wickets two decades back in the 1999-2000 season.
