Saurashtra won their maiden Ranji Trophy title on the back of their first innings lead against Bengal in the final in Rajkot today. On a dead pitch, Saurashtra won the toss and opted to bat first and scored 425 runs in their first innings with the help of Arpit Vasavada's hundred.
In reply, Bengal could manage 381 runs and conceded 44 runs lead. Saurashtra finished on 105/4 in their second innings on final day and match ended in a draw but on the back of first-innings lead Saurashtra clinched their first-ever title.
