Mohammad Amir's brilliant spell was backed up by a quality half-century from Babar Azam as Karachi Kings clinched victory over Peshawar Zalmi by six wickets in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 on Monday (March 2).
Amir took a four-fer (4/25) to help the Kings restrict Zalmi to 151/8 before Azam's unbeaten fifty (70*) took the team comfortably past the finish line.

Apart from Amir, Chris Jordan (2/33), Aamer Yamin (1/22) and skipper Imad Wasim (0/27) also did a fine job with the ball for Karachi.
Similarly in the batting department, Babar was ably supported at the task by the team's overseas recruit Alex Hales, who blasted away a 27-ball 49.
This collective team effort saw the Kings lift themselves to third in the six-team points table with three wins and two losses.
For Peshawar, Shoaib Malik's half-century (68) went in vain as the rest of the team's batting line-up failed to survive long against Amir & co.
Leg-spinner Yasir Shah (2/28) bagged a couple of wickets in his spell in the second half. However, there were never enough runs to play around with, especially with Babar and Hales in such amazing form.
Amir was awarded the "Player-of-the-Match" for setting up the game for his team with a terrific spell.
Brief Scores:
