Gujarat’s captain Parthiv Patel scored a superb century against Goa on the first day of the quarter-final in Valsad. This century was the first of this season for the Gujarat skipper and 19th overall in Ranji Trophy cricket.
Patel also reached the milestone of 11,000 FC runs as the home team finished the first day with 330 runs on the board at the loss of 4 wickets.

The left-hand batsman looked in full control as he reached the triple digits with a fine paddle sweep on the leg side and remained unbeaten on 118 runs as the home team ended the day on a high.
