Physical strength is the basic standard of success in any sport and a proper diet regime, particularly in cricket, plays a crucial role in a player's fitness, as the fitness level of a cricketer determines his success on the field and Cameron Delport believes that eating meat increases the muscle strength.

Delport, South African cricketer who currently plays for Rangpur Rangers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), believes that eating meat increases a player’s muscle strength drastically.

He also suggested the Bangladeshi cricketers add more meat to their diet to build up more muscles in order to develop their power-hitting skills in the T20 cricket.

As per CricFrenzy, Delport said: “Eat more meat (to hit over the boundary line). I suppose work hard that comes with dedication and being fit. You have got to work hard and practice and the result will come.”

Meanwhile, a lot of South Africans feature in different franchise events across the globe and even are playing in the Bangladesh Premier League and will be next seen in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 and Delport feels his countrymen are usually better power-hitters than others because of the true bouncy wickets in the country.

He signed off by saying, “It does not bounce here much the ball keeps low. I think in South Africa there is true bounce. I think it’s how you brought up. All South Africa is a big hitter because of true bounce.”
