The clash between Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL) at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is anticipated by a lot of fans and this year’s battle between the two Melbourne based franchises lived up to it, thanks to a fantastic relay catch by Dunk and Coulter-Nile duo.
The Renegades were batting and in 15th over bowled by Sandeep Lamichhane, Marsh tried to go big as the spinner dropped it short and the ball went straight towards the long-on region. But thanks to mind-blowing fielding by Ben Dunk and Nathan Coulter-Nile, Shaun Marsh had to walk back on 43.
The whole of MCG applauded their efforts and was on its feet. Even the official Twitter handle of BBL tweeted the video clip of the catch and wrote, “The MCG is on its feet! What an effort from Ben Dunk and Nathan Coulter-Nile!”
