Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has lashed out at the Mumbai team after they suffered a massive 10-wicket defeat in the third round of ongoing Ranji Trophy 2010-20 against Railways.
Despite having international stars like Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur at their ranks, Mumbai couldn’t fight well and eventually lost the home Ranji match by 10 wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Friday (December 27).
The Railways secured the bonus point for the massive win over the heavyweights Mumbai, while it was an embarrassing defeat for the side, as Mumbai lost a Ranji game by a 10-wicket margin for the first time in the history of the celebrated domestic tournament.

Meanwhile, the latest defeat was Mumbai’s 2nd crushing defeat in the First-Class cricket having suffered a 10-wicket defeat in the Irani Cup match against the Rest of India in 2000/01.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Kambli has expressed his disappointment at the embarrassing defeat in the ongoing Ranji Trophy against Railways. He was also not happy with the selectors, saying Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dube should have played against the Railways since the international fixture is five days away.
He wrote on Twitter, “Mumbai team ni मस्त डब्बा घातला। Very poor from the team. Disappointed to see @ShreyasIyer15 & @IamShivamDube not being a part of the Mumbai set up for this game when the international game is 5 days away. Would like to see the best team playing when possible. #RanjiTrophy”
