Rajshahi Royals went past Khulna Tigers in the ongoing season of Bangladesh Premier League this Monday (December 23) by seven wickets following yet another brilliant all-round performance from its skipper, the big Jamaican Andre Russell.

Russell first picked up fantastic figures of 4/37 in the first innings where on a decent track the Royals restricted Tigers to 146/9 in 20 overs. And then bludgeoned the ball for a superb cameo scoring a 19-ball 28, including three fours and a maximum, to take his team with still two overs left in the game.

The 31-year-old was then named the Player-of-the-Match as did absolutely no harm to his stature as one of the best T20 cricketers around.

Besides Russell, opener Liton Das (58) also batted really well in the chase making a sedate half-century and Kamrul Islam (2/23) and Ravi Bopara (2/20) picked up a couple of breakthroughs each to support their captain with the ball.

This result helped Rajshahi reach second in the seven-team tournament points table with three wins and a loss after four games.
