The ongoing Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) 2019-20 has already witnessed some amazing moments of individual brilliance from players and one of the highlighting moments of the ninth edition was recorded in the 10th match between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers.

On Monday (December 23), Perth Scorchers’ fast bowler Jhye Richardson showed his brilliance on the field, producing an enthralling run-out of Strikers' well-settled Jake Weatherald to give a Bucket Moment of the ongoing BBL09 at the Adelaide Oval.

The Adelaide crowd got to witness the superb run out of Weatherald during the 15th over of the Strikers' innings when Australia’s Richardson threw the ball from boundary line to run out in-form batsman to produce one of the great moments of the ongoing BBL 09.

Well it was a big wicket, as Weatherald had already piled up 83 off just 47 deliveries with 10 fours and 3 sixes to set up a good platform for Alex Carey and Jonathan Wells to take the Strikers’ innings to a formidable total of 198/4 in 18 overs as the match reduced to 18 overs due to rain.

However, it was Richardson who managed to stop the flow of runs by Weatherald, as Strikers’ batsman went for risky double off a Chris Jordan full-toss delivery towards the square-leg boundary after comfortably getting one run.

Unfortunately, Weatherald’s that move proved costly to him, as Richardson attacked the ball and picked it in one motion and instantly delivered the ball to the wicketkeeper who was quick to collect the ball and whipped off the bails to remove the batsman for 83.

Later, the replays showed that the Strikers’ batsman failed to make ground in time and was given run out by the TV umpire, though his managed to win the game by 15 runs via DLS method against the Scorchers on Monday.

The Big Bash League also shared the video on Twitter with the caption, “This is something different from Jhye Richardson in the deep! A run out worthy of a Bucket Moment. #BBL09 | @KFCAustralia”
