Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf is shining for his Big Bash League franchise, Melbourne Stars by picking seven wickets in two matches. Out of those seven scalps, five came in the match against Hobart Hurricanes on Sunday.

Rauf, who came as a replacement of South African veteran pacer Dale Steyn, wasn't the first preference of the franchise, but he did well to replace a big name.

The express pacer is trending on social media for his heart winning gesture towards an Indian security guard. Rauf gifted the match ball to the guard who got emotional and hugged the pacer.

''He gave that ball to one of the Punjabi guys from India because when he (Haris) arrived at the ground, he told him that I am from Pakistan and that guy just cried and hugged him and got emotional. So he gave that ball to him'', said Haris Rauf's BBL team-mate Sandeep Lamichhane, who was the pacer's translator during the post-match interview.

Melbourne defeated Hobart by 52 runs. Batting first, Stars scored 163/4 in 20 overs. It was Marcus Stoinis, the opener who batted till the end and scored a 54-ball 81* for his side. In response, Hobart was bowled out on just 111.

Rauf picked up 5/27 in his four overs with an economy rate of 6.75. He rightly deserved the man of the match award, although Stoinis' innings was also a strong contender.
