The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused to issue ‘No Objection Certificates” to all-rounder Faheem Ashraf and fast bowler Usman Shinwari to feature in the upcoming ninth edition of Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) 2019-20.

The Melbourne Renegades has recently signed the two Pakistani players for the upcoming edition with the left-arm speedster was to be available for the Renegades for the first seven games of the upcoming season, while all-rounder Ashraf was to play the opening eight matches for the defending champions.

The Renegades have decided to replace Ashraf and Shinwari with English pacers Richard Gleeson and Harry Gurney for the BPL 09.

It is being said that the PCB has asked Ashraf to focus on playing domestic cricket, while Shinwari has been called up for the home Test series against Sri Lanka.  Noteworthy, the PCB is working on a new document which will allow players to feature in only two leagues in a season after being criticized for its inconsistent policy on issuing NOCs for foreign leagues.
