World Champions England has four players in the XI.

Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah made it into ICC's World Cup XI | GettyThe curtains came down on the ICC World Cup 2019 as England were crowned the champions for the first time. New Zealand was left heart-broken for the second time in two editions, as an ICC rule snatched away a victory from their grasps. For the first time in ODIs and World Cups, Super over was used to decide a winner.

However, after the Super Over was tied, England was named the victors after they had a higher boundary count as compared to New Zealand in the match.

The tournament saw many amazing performances from many of the top-class players. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shakib-Al-Hasan and David Warner making over 600 runs and Mitchell Starc continuing his best form with 27 wickets. Therefore, the ICC named their Best XI of the tournaments and included two Indian players.

Kane Williamson was named captain | GettyApart from Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah was named in the XI and England were the most represented with four players in the World Cup team of the tournament announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, who was named the Man of the Tournament was also appointed the captain of the side.

Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Joe Root, and Jofra Archer represented champions England in the side. Shakib-Al-Hasan, Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Starc, and Alex Carey were the players who made up the XI, while Trent Boult of New Zealand was named the 12th man.
