World Cup 2019 final will be aired on free-to-air TV in England owing to great demand making it the first widely accessible international in the country in 14 years.

That test series in which England ended Australia’s 16-year reign is still one of the finest cricket moment in the country. Everyday lines swelled outside the grounds, each player was made an MBE and even a new documentary on that series was aired in England this week.

But since then the game been played behind a paywall, before the interest in Morgan's men created a change for Sunday.

"It's very cool. Particularly given the 2005 Ashes for me was sort of the day cricket became cool. Throughout the whole summer, the game was on the front and back page of every newspaper going around, everyone was talking about it. It is really good for the game and it's the game I love so it's great news that it's on free-to-air," Morgan said.

England and New Zealand have never won a World Cup title, this means the tournament will witness a maiden winner for the very first time after Sri Lanka in 1996.

The team has a lot of pressure not just due to their own history, but also due to the plight of other major cricketing nations in the last half-century. England football team has never won a World Cup after 1966, also the rugby team has also just managed to claim their first and last title in 2003.

Morgan urged calm ahead of the final when the chants of "it's coming home" broke out on Thursday at Edgbaston. "I wouldn't get too carried away yet. It is obviously a very exciting time for everybody and ourselves included. Giving ourselves the opportunity for Sunday's final is brilliant. We'll be giving it everything we can in order to try and win that game," he said.
