As England was crushing Australia in the semifinal of World Cup 2019, former captain Michael Vaughan was having banter with Aussie great Adam Gilchrist on Twitter.
Australia, batting first, set a target of 224 in 50 overs, which turned out to be very little for a batting heavy English side. They chased down the target with ease. It was looking like a cakewalk for the Englishmen.
To help the Aussies out, Vaughan had a suggestion. He wrote that the Australian bowlers should try bowling barefoot. It was a jibe at Australia's barefoot bonding session ahead of the semifinal.
Responding to him, the former Australian wicket-keeper called him an idiot. Vaughan wasn't holding back either. He replied with a gif of barefoot. It was hilarious.
But Gilchrist was quick to respond as he asked Vaughan to be available to open on Sunday as Jason Roy might miss the final. Roy had shown his displeasure over an on-field call which led to his wicket.
Jason was given caught behind on 85 which he clearly wasn't. The England opener hadn't hit the ball which flew back to the keeper. After being given out, he asked questions to the on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena and Marais Erasmus.
