Team India, who topped the points table and New Zealand, who finished on no.4 spot will clash in the first semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2019 at the Old Trafford Ground in Manchester amongst hordes of Indian fans supporting the Men in Blue.
The ICC, on Sunday, appointed umpires and match officials for the two World Cup semi-finals following the conclusion of the group stage. English duo of Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough will officiate in the first semi-final of the tournament on Tuesday. Australian Rod Tucker will be in the third umpire's chair for the India-New Zealand encounter while Englishman Nigel Llong will be the fourth official.
1987 World Cup winner Australia’s David Boon will be the match referee for the game.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Kumar Dharmasena and Marais Erasmus of South Africa will stand in the second semi-final between Australia and England at Edgbaston, Birmingham on July 11. The third umpire for the game will be New Zealand's Chris Gaffaney while Pakistan's Aleem Dar will be the fourth official. Ranjan Madugalle of Sri Lanka will be the match referee.
