With England beating both India and New Zealand, Pakistan needs a win with a huge margin against Bangladesh at Lord's in London on Friday to keep their outside chances of reaching the semi-finals alive.
Pakistan needs to beat Bangladesh by 311 runs after posting 350, or by 316 runs after scoring 400. And if they post a total of 450, the margin should be 321.
350, 400, 450, but where is the margin for 500 runs? We kid you not, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz would need it considering he felt they are going to post this many runs against Bangladesh, who isn't an inferior side anymore.
"We will give it our best but we have to be realistic. If we make 500 or 400 runs, we can surely hope that the opposition team can get out on 50. We will try our best. It is not a hidden fact that we have to make 500-550 runs and win by a margin of 316 runs. We have to be realistic but we will try out best," Sarfaraz had said on the eve of the crunch match.
