India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Wednesday (July 3) lashed out at cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar for his bold remarks.

Jadeja, who was termed as “bits and pieces” player by Manjrekar a couple of days ago, advised the former India batsman to respect the achievement of people and told him that he has enough of his “verbal diarrhoea”.

“Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea.@sanjaymanjrekar,” Jadeja tweeted.

After India’s 31-run loss to England on Sunday (June 30), Manjrekar had opined that Jadeja is a bits and pieces type of cricketer and he won’t consider him in India’s playing XI in the ongoing World Cup.

"I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner," Sanjay Manjrekar was quoted as saying by IANS.

Jadeja is yet to feature in India’s World Cup 2019 playing XI thus far. He played in the second warm-up match against New Zealand but hasn’t considered in the main event with two wrist spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, doing reasonably well.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue have qualified for the semi-final having won 6 of their 8 games. Virat Kohli and company will take on Sri Lanka in their last league match of the showpiece tournament on July 6.
