The Indian Cricket Team are likely to see in different colors in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match against the hosts England, as the Men in Blue will sport orange jerseys for the match on June 30.  

If reports are to be believed, Virat Kohli and his Co -who are currently donning the blue jersey in the ongoing ICC event, will be wearing the 'away jersey' with orange being the dominant color for its World Cup encounter against England with a strip of blue around the collar. 

Before the tournament, the ICC had announced that all countries barring the hosts would have to sport two different colored kits – the “home” and “away” kits, following the steps of football. 

Both India and England are wearing blue kits in the ongoing tournament, but as the hosts, they have the right to wear the blue jersey and retain its kits throughout the World Cup 2019, eventually, Kohli’s men have to switch their kits on 30 June’s encounter.  

The ICC rulebook says, “For televised ICC events all participating teams will be required to provide for two different colored kits, except for the host country who has preference in the choice of color and may, if it chooses to do so, provide only one colored kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event. In advance of the event, the teams will be notified which colored kit will be worn in each match.” 

Meanwhile, India players are yet to see their new jerseys for the match against England. 

An executive told TOI, “Till last week, the Indian players had not seen their new jerseys. There is still confusion among various stakeholders whether the team would actually need to don new colors.” 

Noteworthy, Afghanistan, who have already revealed their kit for their CWC 2019 match against England, might be seen in different kit against India on 22 June, as both the countries wear blue jerseys.
