Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan even after scoring just 201 in a 41 overs game. This was possible because of pacer Nuwan Pradeep's Man of the Match performance of 4/31. However, Sri Lanka will miss his services in the match against Bangladesh as he has dislocated his finger during practice.
During one of the practice sessions of the Sri Lankan team, Pradeep dislocated a finger on his bowling hand and also received a cut. He was taken to a hospital where the doctors relocated his finger and he also received some stitches on the cut.
Sri Lankan team manager Asantha De Mel said in a statement, "Pradeep will not take part in Sri Lanka's game against Bangladesh on Tuesday, as he will need a week's time to recover from the injury."
Sri Lankan team's official Twitter handle tweeted:
Nuwan Pradeep has suffered a dislocation and a cut in his small finger on his bowling arm, during practices today.
