India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has plenty of good memories to cherish from the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground and he is hoping to return to the Home of Cricket for the 2019 World Cup final on July 14.

Bhuvneshwar had played an instrumental role in India’s famous Test victory over England at Lord’s in 2014. He had scalped 6-wicket haul besides scoring 88 runs as India won that Test match by 95 runs.

"I've been here two or three times but I always like coming back to play in England. It would mean a lot to get to go back to Lord's for the final of the World Cup,” Bhuvneshwar quoted as saying by Reuters.

"I have very good memories there, so if we reach the final it will be a very big moment for not just me but for the whole team," he added.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricketers are leaving no stone unturned to gear up for the 12th edition of ICC Cricket World Cup. Having coped a 6-wicket defeat in the first warm-up game against New Zealand last week, the Men in Blue bounced back to register an emphatic 95-run victory over Bangladesh in the second practice match on Tuesday (May 28).

"We got everything we wanted out of the match; when it comes to batting, bowling and fielding," he said.

Virat Kohli and company will begin their World Cup campaign on June 5 against South Africa in Southampton.
