Questions have been raised on how the media and the fanfare in England will receive Steve Smith and David Warner on their international returns at this World Cup following the ball-tampering incident last year.

But Australian skipper Aaron Finch is confident that the experienced duo will be able to cope up with it and enjoy their time out there, especially with the plans that have been put in place by Cricket Australia (CA) to protect all its men.

Earlier, England all-rounder Moeen Ali had urged the fans and media in UK to not have personal attacks at the two players. And, there was also a report in the Daily Mirror newspaper stating that Warner’s manager had sought security assurances from CA, with the batsman’s wife wanting to give birth to their third child in the UK.

However, Finch, speaking at the all World Cup captain's press conference on Thursday (May 23), said that he sees both Smith and Warner be able to fully concentrate on the game.

"Since they’ve come back into the squad and the set-up the last couple of weeks they’ve been fantastic. They’ve contributed as much as they can and the morale has been unbelievable," he said.

"Once the World Cup gets underway and you start getting into the tournament, probably the game against England, and then further on the Ashes, there’s no doubt the crowd will start to play a bit of a part but that’s expected."

Australia plays host England and Sri Lanka in the two official warm-up games at Southampton on May 25 and 27 respectively. The defending champion side begins its World Cup campaign on June 1 at Bristol against Afghanistan.

"No matter where you go the fans play a big part. No doubt personally and as an organisation, they’ve got things in place for that, but how they’ve been in the run-up to the tournament has been fantastic," Finch added.
