The 12th edition of ODI Cricket World Cup (ICC Cricket World Cup 2019) will be played in England from 30th May to 14th July. Total of 10 teams will participate and each team will play against each other in the group stage with the top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.
Host and number one ranked ODI side England is the firm favorite to win their first ever World Cup. After a disappointing performance in the World Cup 2015, England invested in young players and also changed their style of playing cricket and it paid off and since then they have been the most successful ODI side and haven't lost any multigame bilateral ODI series in the last two years.
They are also the most balanced side in the world right now. Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid all are match winners and the inclusion of pacer Jofra Archer have further strengthened them. Given England's recent form, team composition and home conditions it's the best chance for them to clinch their first ever ODI World Cup title. And here is a look at England's ODI World Cup history.
