Chairman of selectors MSK Prasad has revealed that India's squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup will be officially announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 20th of April.

Prasad, whose team has done a very fine job of selecting and rotating players in the national ODI set-up, is very much confident of skipper Virat Kohli and his men making the country proud in England and Wales this summer.

"I had a good ‘darshan’ of the God along with my family. So far as Indian cricket team is concerned, we will be announcing our team for the World Cup on or before April 20," Prasad was quoted saying by ANI

The 12th edition of the 50-over World Cup will kickstart on May 30, with Team India beginning its campaign versus South Africa on June 5.

"I am confident that we are going to announce a good team," Prasad added. "We have worked on this for almost one and a half years. We have observed all the players, tested good combinations."

"We are confident that the team we will announce, will definitely win the World Cup to be held in England in 2019."

Prasad also made good use of the opportunity to appeal to people for using their right to vote in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"India is going for elections from April 11," he said. "AP (Andhra Pradesh) is going for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the first phase itself."

"Vote is the right that the Constitution has given to us. The electing proper candidate is our moral right. I suggest all of you utilise your boring right and let the country and the state go ahead in the path of development."
