The BCCI, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, had announced an INR 58 crores cash reward for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 winning Indian team, coaching staff and support staff members.
Rohit Sharma's team was undefeated in three group-stage games during the eight-team competition hosted by Pakistan and the UAE. They then defeated longtime opponents Australia in the semi-finals before defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final at Dubai International Stadium.
It was the Men in Blue's third title in the league, setting a new record, and their second ICC trophy in two years, following the T20 World Cup victory in 2024.
And now the BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has revealed how the cash reward will be divided amongst the Indian contingent. The 15 players of India’s 2025 Champions Trophy winning team and head coach Gautam Gambhir will earn Rs 3 crore each.
“The 15-member India squad who won the 2025 Champions Trophy will get Rs 3 crore each. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will get Rs 3 crore," Saikia told IANS.
Squad players Arshdeep Singh, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar, who did not play a single game in the tournament, will receive the same prize money.
Saikia further stated that the rest of the coaching group will receive Rs 50 lakhs apiece. These include batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate, fielding coach T Dilip, physiotherapists Kamlesh Jain and Yogesh Parmar, team doctor Aditya Daftary, throwdown specialists Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke, and Dayanand Garani, masseurs Chetan Kumar, Rajeev Kumar, and Arun Kanade, and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai.
Saikia also confirmed rewards for the rest of the BCCI officials with the team.
“The rest of the BCCI officials like the media manager and liaison officer will get Rs 25 lakhs each," he said.
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar will receive Rs 30 lakhs, while the remaining committee members - Subroto Banerjee, Ajay Ratra, S Sharath, and Shiv Sunder Das - would each receive Rs 25 lakhs.
Saikia further informed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) awarded a reward money of around Rs 19.45 crore. He stated that it has been split only among the fifteen players, with everyone receiving Rs 1,43,58,000 crore.
