Rohit Sharma led the chase with 76 runs off 83 balls, and KL Rahul's unbeaten 34 enabled India to finish on 254/6 in 49 overs, winning the Champions Trophy for the third time.
India went undefeated throughout the tournament, defeating Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand in the group stage and then Australia in the semifinals.
As the players celebrated their victory, the families of various Indian players were present including Rohit Sharma, Mohammad Shami, and Virat Kohli.
Mohammad Shami, a veteran Indian pacer, introduced his mother to Virat in a video thatbecamet popular on social media. Humble as he is, Virat stooped and touched Shami's mother's feet in gratitude for her blessings before posing for photos with the pacer's family.
