Team India are enjoying a dominant run in the ongoing Champions Trophy. After beating Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand in the group-stage, the Men in Blue outplayed Australia in the semi-final to make their third consecutive appearance in the final of the showpiece tournament.

Amid the dominance, several former and current cricketers have pointed out that India are getting undue advantage by playing at just one venue.

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is playing host to India's Champions Trophy matches. Since the BCCI refused to send its team to Pakistan due to security concerns and uncordial political relations, the ICC adopted a hybrid model, allowing Rohit Sharma’s team to play all of their matches in a neutral venue.

India will now face New Zealand in the final of the Champions Trophy on Sunday (March 9). The title clash will take place in Dubai as well.

Meanwhile, the other seven participating teams in the competition have had to travel back and forth between the United Arab Emirates and three cities in Pakistan.

South Africa were compelled to travel to Dubai as part of the tournament's hybrid model, but they returned to Pakistan to face New Zealand in the second semi-final in Lahore on Wednesday (March 5).

After losing the semi-final to New Zealand by 50 runs, South African batter David Miller said that his team's hop to Dubai and back was "not ideal".

"It's only an hour and 40 minute flight, but the fact that we had to do that was not ideal," Miller said, as quoted by AFP.

"It's early morning, it's after a game and we had to fly. Then we got to Dubai at 4:00 pm. And at 7.30 am we had to come back. It doesn't make it nice. It's not like we flew five hours, and we had enough time to recover and recuperate, but it was not an ideal situation still."

Miller slammed a 67-ball 100* during the semi-final clash in the chase of 363. Temba Bavuma (56) and Rassie van der Dussen (69) steadied the South African innings with a 105-run second-wicket stand before New Zealand's spinners, led by Mitchell Santner's 3-43, restricted them to 312-9 in 50 overs.

"It's not easy chasing 360 even if it's a good wicket," said Miller, who smashed four sixes and 10 fours in his seventh ODI hundred.

"I think the wicket just deteriorated as the game went on and they spun the ball a lot more than us," said Miller.

"It's just they got a little bit more purchase out of the wicket."

Miller predicted a "great" final, adding: "I'll be honest with you, I think I'll be supporting New Zealand."
