Pakistan team was embarrassed at the hands of the Indian team in Dubai in their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash on Sunday, February 23. India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets and the Green Shirts are almost eliminated from the tournament they are hosting.

The Mohammad Rizwan-led team could only score 241 runs after deciding to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and they then gave up too easily in the chase. The world's best ODI squad, led by Virat Kohli's 100 off 111 balls, chased down the goal of 242 runs in 42.3 overs, losing only four wickets.

Pakistani fans had great expectations for the elite pace three of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah in the must-win match against India, but they failed to deliver. While Shaheen was able to take two wickets in the match, he gave 74 runs in his quota of eight overs. Naseem and Rauf failed to pick a wicket in the match.

The team's performance disappointed thousands of Pakistani fans and former greats who traveled to Dubai to watch Pakistan play India.

In a video from Sunday's match that went viral online, a Pakistani fan is seen becoming angry with Shaheen and asking him why the Pakistani players are degrading Pakistanis worldwide.

“Shaheen bhai… Shaheen, kitna zaleel karwaoge? Humara kya kasoor hai, Shaheen bhai? Hume bhi toh batao. Kya zulm kiya humne aap par, meri jaan batao hume," the fan can be heard saying in a viral video.
