
Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament, the official broadcasters Star Sports have unveiled a star-studded commentary panel in various languages for the tournament. This commentary panel will also provide their voices on online platform JioHotstar as well.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will begin on February 19 and will be played in Pakistan and Dubai. The tournament features eight teams divided into two groups. India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh are placed in Group A, while Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa form Group B.
India will play all of its group matches in Dubai and also the semi-final and final if they qualify. This is because BCCI refused to send Team India to Pakistan due to the Indian government’s guidelines.
JioStar has stated that it will broadcast matches in different languages on the Star Sports and Sports18 platforms. In addition to English, coverage will be offered in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, assuring broad exposure to a diverse audience.
For the first time in ICC tournament history, digital broadcasting on JioHotstar will include 16 feeds in nine languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada. Fans can now enjoy four multi-cam feeds, which improve the viewing experience with dynamic angles and viewpoints.
JioStar is committed to inclusivity, bringing back the Indian Sign Language feed and Audio Descriptive Commentary on JioHotstar.
