Star batter Virat Kohli, who arrived in Dubai on Saturday (February 15) with the Indian squad, has begun his preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
On Sunday (February 16), Kohli attended India’s training session, where he was seen playing aerial shots. In multiple videos doing rounds on social media, the Indian stalwart can be seen looking in good touch.
Kohli’s form has been a major topic of discussion ahead of the Champions Trophy. He hasn’t registered a substantial score since his unbeaten hundred in the Perth Test against Australia last November.
While Kohli didn’t feature in the first game of the recently held ODI series against England in Nagpur due to knee issues, he was dismissed for only 5 runs in the second game in Cuttack. The right-hander ended the three-match series with a 52-run knock in Ahmedabad.
Kohli will now look to make amends in the Champions Trophy, slated to get underway on February 19 in Karachi with the Pakistan versus New Zealand clash.
India will begin their campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
