With two weeks remaining for the marquee event, the ICC announced online general ticket sales of all Champions Trophy matches and tickets for India games were sold out within minutes.

Fans queued up well before the official sale went live at 16h00 Gulf Standard Time (GST). As expected, the biggest rush was for the marquee India versus Pakistan fixture. That was the first match to be completely sold out. Some fans were left disappointed as they waited in the queue but their turn never came.

The showpiece tournament promises a thrilling spectacle, featuring the world's top eight teams competing in 15 high-stake matches over 19 days. Every game is important in the quest to reign in the coveted white jackets.

India and Pakistan are slotted in Group A alongside New Zealand and Bangladesh, while Group B features ODI World Cup champions Australia, Afghanistan, England, and South Africa.

Team India will open their campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Rohit Sharma-led side will next face arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23, followed by New Zealand on March 2.

There was a huge demand for tickets for India’s matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Fans also anticipated the 2013 champions to make the semi-finals as the tickets for India's knockout match (if they qualify) on March 4 were sold out.

Online tickets for Pakistan's group-stage matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand and the second semi-final in Lahore was also sold out.

Tickets for the title clash, set to take place on March 9, will be released after the end of the first semi-final in Dubai.
