Indian team has been rocked by a fresh revelation from a reserve player in the squad amidst the ongoing rumors in the dressing room before the ongoing Sydney Test of BGT 2024.

The dressing room atmosphere, which was at its best under former India players Ravi Shastri and Rahul Dravid, is on the verge of breaking down. According to reports, things are not going well between Gambhir and skipper Rohit Sharma, among others.

Gambhir's term as head coach has been disastrous, beginning with an ODI series defeat in Sri Lanka, followed by a home Test series whitewash against New Zealand, and now a missed opportunity to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Rohit Sharma opted out from the Indian team for the fifth and final Test in Sydney, with Jasprit Bumrah captaining the side in his place. Shubman Gill replaced Rohit in the Indian XI.

But a report from ‘The Australian’, shed light on the worrying scenes from India's camp. According to the report, the Indian team's surprise act in Perth sparked a number of questions as the players divided into groups as they went out to celebrate their victory.

While it was thought that the entire team would go out and enjoy the victory together, this actually occurred in separate groups.

India's head coach, Gautam Gambhir, was observed enjoying a quiet Indian supper with his family, while some of the team's young players were seen floating down Hay Street later that night.

In fact, a senior member of India's support staff reportedly offered his personal credit card to pay for the players' beverages, but no interest was exhibited. The reporter then claimed to have met an Indian team reserve member at a kebab shop at 1.45 a.m. the night before one of the tour's Test matches.

During a casual interaction, the India player is believed to have asked the writer about any conversations between skipper Rohit and head coach Gambhir concerning him.

"I bumped into a reserve in the Indian team at a kebab shop at 1.45 am the night before one of the Tests. After making a point to explain why he needed the late-night meal, he went on to ask me if Rohit the captain had mentioned him to me at any point during the tour," the author of the report wrote.

"He then went, “Has Gauti (Gambhir) bhai, said anything about me to you?” The poor fellow cut a sullen figure as he then lowered his head and went, “Nobody says anything to me in the team. Not the captain or the coach," the author added.

The report claims that many players have complaints regarding Gambhir's style of work, as they don't know how he would react to different situations.
