India might have lost the fourth Test of the BGT 2024 against Australia, which was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) recently. Australia registered an 184-run win at MCG to 2-1 up in the series with one more Test to go.

Despite the defeat, India has a few moments to cherish in Melbourne. The valiant batting efforts by Nitish Kumar Reddy, who scored his maiden Test hundred, the 82 and 84-run knocks by Yashasvi Jaiswal and the 9-wicket haul by Jasprit Bumrah.

Thanks to their performances, the names of Nitish Kumar Reddy, for his century, and Jasprit Bumrah, for his 5/57 in the second innings, went up on the honors board in the Melbourne Ground.

Bumrah’s name went under his own from his special 2018 fifer at the venue while Reddy’s was just after Ajinkya Rahane, who scored a match-winning ton while captaining India here in 2020 — a knock that changed the trajectory of that series.

BCCI shared a video of the moment that also featured Nitish Reddy taking photos of the board to immortalize the moment on his phone.
