Virat Kohli's struggles continued in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he fell for just 5 runs on the final day of the Boxing Day Test at MCG.

The age-old problem of fishing outside the off stump led to Kohli’s downfall once again. The Indian stalwart chased a wide delivery from Mitchell Starc, giving a simple catch to Usman Khawaja at first slip.

Kohli's dismissal drew reactions from his wife, Anushka Sharma, and KL Rahul's wife, Athiya Shetty, who were in attendance at the iconic venue. Their reactions quickly went viral on the internet.

Rahul was dismissed for a five-ball duck in the second innings at MCG - a rare flop for him in the series Down Under. The right-hander returned with scores of 26, 77, 37, 7, 84 and 4* in the first three Tests as an opener. He made 24 in the first innings of Melbourne Test while batting at No. 3.

Rahul’s was left disappointed after Australian skipper Pat Cummins sent him packing for a nought. A video of Athiya’s heartbreaking reaction is now circulating on social media.

Earlier on Day 5, Jasprit Bumrah completed a five-wicket haul, dismissing Nathan Lyon to end Australia's second innings at 234.

India's chase of 340 began cautiously. Despite a solid first hour, the visitors lost Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in quick succession to Pat Cummins. Virat Kohli's dismissal just at the stroke of lunch further tilted the game in Australia's favour.

While Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant came out unscathed in the second session, India lost four quick wickets at the start of the third session to found themselves reeling at 140/7.

The likes of Jaiswal (84), Pant (30), Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy were back in the dressing room, with the Indian tail-enders facing a monumental task of saving the game with 21 overs still left in the game.
