Veteran Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah appeared clearly distraught after a no-ball incident in the final over denied him his 13th five-wicket haul in Test cricket. This happened in the final few minutes on day 4 of the ongoing fourth Test at MCG between Australia and India.

Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland frustrated the Indian team in the final hour as the 10th wicket partnership added 55* runs as Australia ended day four on 228/9  with a lead of 333 runs.

It could all have been over in the last over of the day as Jasprit Bumrah bowled an out-swinging delivery to Nathan Lyon which was caught at the slips by KL Rahul. Lyon had begun to walk away after Rahul claimed the catch.

However, the umpire then signaled no-ball shattering the Indian hopes and heart of Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah, who had been the pick of the Indian bowlers for the day and had already taken four wickets, was left with a disappointed expression on his face and holding his head.

It would’ve marked the pacer's 13th five-wicket haul in Test match cricket and third in the ongoing BGT 2024 series, and he had recently reached 200 wickets.
