India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was at his very best with the new ball on Day 4 of the Boxing Day Test against Australia on Sunday (December 29).
The No. 1 ranked Test bowler managed to settle scores against Sam Konstas, dismissing the 19-year-old Australian opener early in the innings to delight the Indian fans at MCG.
Bumrah, who conceded 34 runs in 33 balls against Konstas in the first innings, produced a sharp in-cutter in the 7th over to knock over the debutant for just 8 runs.
After getting the wicket, Bumrah came up with an epic celebration that is now going viral on social media. In an uncharacteristic manner, he turned to the crowd, urging them to roar in approval.
Bumrah’s gesture was a direct nod to Konstas's own antics on Day 2 when the Australian had tried to rally the crowd after Virat Kohli’s wicket in the first innings.

The Indian vice-captain has brilliantly shouldered the burden of the bowling attack, which hasn't clicked as a unit. With the wicket of Konstas, Burmah took his tally to 26 scalps in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar, currently tied at 1-1.
