Jasprit Bumrah shocked Australia captain Pat Cummins when he was hit was a massive six by the Indian vice-captain. This happened on day 4 of the ongoing third BGT 2024 Test in Brisbane.
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul began as India resumed at 51/4 on day four. However, the Indian captain was dismissed for ten runs by his Australian counterpart. Rahul, on the other hand, had Ravindra Jadeja at one end to back him.
After the partnership scored 67 runs for the sixth wicket, KL Rahul was dismissed for 84 runs in 139 balls, including eight fours. Jadeja led the tailenders with 77 runs, seven fours, and one six before falling to Cummins.
To avoid a follow-on, Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep were able to avoid any issues and gradually led India to a total of 246 runs. India crossed the follow-on score mark when Akash Deep hit a four off Pat Cummins.
However, before that, Pat Cummins was bowling to Bumrah from around the wicket, trying to tie up the run scoring. He even attempted a bouncer to Bumrah but the Indian vice-captain was up to the task.
Given that the hosts are eager to wrap up their stay at The Gabba as quickly as possible, Jasprit Bumrah's incredible six on the opening ball of the 68th over of India's innings that did not please Australian skipper Pat Cummins.
Bumrah slammed a pull shot over long leg to score a spectacular six off Cummins after getting inside the line of the short, angling down leg ball. After making the incredible shot, Bumrah's face lit up with a broad smile. However, Cummins returned to his destination with a frustrated expression.
