The Adelaide Test, the second match of the ongoing BGT 2024 series between Australia and India, was a comeback for the hosts. After losing the first Test in Perth by 295 runs, Australia steamrolled India in Adelaide, in a pink-ball Test, by 10 wickets to level the series 1-1.

While Travis Head with a ton, Mitchell Starc, and Pat Cummins with a six-fer and fifer respectively, performed for the Australian team, the same couldn’t be said for the Indians as neither their batters nor the bowlers could do much.

Meanwhile, an Indian fan managed to get himself thrown out of the Adelaide stadium for waving sandpaper.

The fan was attempting to remind the Australians in the crowd of the six-year-old controversy that resulted in greats including then-captain Steve Smith and his deputy David Warner, as well as teammate Cameron Bancroft, being banned.

Bancroft was captured on CCTV using sandpaper to alter the condition of the ball during the third Test in Cape Town. It was then revealed that the act was carried out with Smith and Warner's knowledge.

This led to Bancroft receiving a 9-month ban, while Warner and Smith were banned for one year each.

In a video that has gone viral on the internet, the fan could be seen forcibly ejected from the venue by the security officials while he kept waving the sandpaper amid mixed reactions of cheers and jeers.
