Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jack Nisbet got into a heated face-off during the India v PM XI pink-ball limited-overs practice match in Canberra’s Manuka Oval on December 1, 2024.

Originally what was supposed to be a two-day game between the two sides with pink ball and under lights, turned into a 50 overs per side game after day one on November 30 got rained out.

India won the toss and chose to bowl first with the pink ball. Sam Konstas made 107 and Hanno Jacobs made 61 runs as PM XI posted 240 runs in 43.2 overs. For India, Harshit Rana starred with 4/44.

In reply, Shubman Gill (50), Yashasvi Jaiswal (45), Nitish Reddy (42), Washington Sundar (42*), and Ravindra Jadeja along with KL Rahul got enough practice under the lights as India overhauled PM XI's score with ease and continued to bat. India scored 257/5 as the 46 overs were completed.

Young India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was disturbed at the crease by Australian seamer Jack Nisbet, and he appears rattled at the crease after going hard at Nisbet right away but failing to time the ball.

The southpaw was fortunate early on, as two of his flashes through the on side struck his outside, which sailed over the slip cordon for a boundary.

He was surprised by a bouncer and defended himself awkwardly, prompting Nisbet to speak with the Indian star. Jaiswal, on the other hand, was unwilling to accept the Australian seamer's offer and instead urged him to return and bowl.
