All eyes are on Virat Kohli as India are gearing up to face Australia in a five-match Test series, starting November 22 in Perth.

Kohli may be struggling for runs in Test cricket lately, but he relishes batting on Australian pitches. The star batter has played 13 Tests Down Under, amassing 1352 runs at an average of 54.08 with six hundreds and four half-centuries.

The 36-year-old seems determined to have another blockbuster series in Australia. On Tuesday (November 19), Kohli continued to bat in the nets even after India's first practice at the Optus Stadium was halted due to heavy rain.

According to journalist Bharat Sundaresan, Kohli was not keen on stopping his intense net session but had to rush back to the dressing room along with his teammates as the weather turned worse.

Virat Kohli's dedication was lauded by the cricket fans on social media:

This could well be Virat Kohli’s last tour to Australia and he will look to change his fortunes during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ever since 2020, the right-hander has just scored two Test tons while he has managed to cross fifty just once in the six Tests so far in 2024.

Kohli was troubled by the Bangladesh and Kiwi spinners in the recently held home Test season, returning with scores of 6, 17, 47, 29*, 0, 70, 1, 17, 4 and 1. As a result, his Test average has dropped to 47.83. He currently has 9040 runs to his name from 118 Tests, including 29 centuries.
