Virat Kohli is under pressure and everyone knows it. Ahead of the BGT 2024, Kohli scored just 93 runs in three Tests against New Zealand in India’s 0-3 whitewash. And Glenn McGrath, legendary Australian pacer asked his side to go hard at the batter, given his emotions.

India and Australia will face off in a five-match Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting November 22nd in Perth.

After more than ten years as the mainstay of the Indian batting lineup, Kohli has recently lost form, averaging just 22.72 in six Test matches this year. With captain Rohit Sharma and important batter Shubman Gill possibly out due to injuries, all eyes will be on Kohli's performance.

Glenn McGrath talked about the pressure the Indian team is under and called Virat Kohli an emotional player. He urged the Australians to keep going at Kohli given that he has been down lately and will be emotional.

Without a doubt, especially after coming off a 3-0 loss against New Zealand, you’ve got plenty of ammunition to back yourself up. I think he’s probably under pressure a little bit, and if he has a couple of low scores to start with, he could feel it. I think he’s quite an emotional player. When he’s up, he’s up, and when he’s down, he sort of struggles a little bit,” McGrath said in an interview with Fox Cricket, as quoted by 'CODE Sports'.

Kohli boasts an impressive average of 54.08 in his previous four tours of Australia, but given that he has scored only 2 centuries in the last 5 years in Tests, he will be under pressure to score big on what can possibly be his final tour down under.
