India pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj showcased their full potential in the ongoing practice game against India A side. This match is being played at the WACA in Perth and is the only practice India will have before the first Test of the BGT 2024 that begins in Perth on November 22.
The team has been involved in the match simulation for the last few days and is making sure that they leave no stone unturned in their preparations for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah were the stars of Day 2 of the match simulation. On a track that offered pace and bounce, the pair bowled perfect lines and lengths, challenging the Indian hitters on both the inside and outside edges.
Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, who are anticipated to play in the opening Test, bowled with gusto. The former removed the right-hander and hit the left-hander on pads to test the temperament of Abhimanyu Easwaran and Devdutt Padikkal with the new ball.
In contrast, Siraj appeared to have improved his rhythm and confidence following a lackluster home Test season. He is eager to continue helping and has a strong record in Australian circumstances.
During the practice match, Harshit Rana, who has not yet made his debut for the Indian squad, was spotted bowling with full force.
While India made several excellent catches in the slips, the film also featured batsmen like Sarfaraz Khan, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and others. Gaikwad was reportedly one of the practice game's most outstanding hitters on Day 2.
A big surprise was India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who troubled the batters with his leg-spin. Given the uncertainty surrounding Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja's eligibility for the first Test match in Perth, it appears like head coach Gautam Gambhir and the team management may consider using Jaiswal's part-time spin bowling.
