As the Indian team continues preparing for the BGT 2024 five-test series against Australia in Perth, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and keeper-batter Rishabh Pant had a hilarious interaction as Bumrah was ready to bat in the nets.
Pant was teasing Bumrah that he could dismiss him in the nets and also reminded him of his one FC wicket. Not only this, but Pant got India bowling coach Morne Morkel involved in the bet as well. Pant tried his best to get Bumrah out and the pacer even survived a bouncer from Morkel.
Later, the fast bowler dragged a short delivery that Pant had bowled to Bumrah toward the leg side. But even Morkel agreed with Pant when he claimed his wicket, stating that it would have gone straight to the fielder.
“Jasprit Bumrah ko pel diya hai maine, net pe out kara hai 1 wicket mila hai (I’ve dismissed Jasprit Bumrah and got 1 wicket),” Pant said in the video shared by BCCI.
In return Bumrah quipped, “His bowling action is illegal. It’s not out, it’s a four or a two, I’ve connected a pull shot. He thinks he has 7 fielders there. He should not be allowed to bowl.”
