Virat Kohli is on his fourth tour of Australia with the Indian team, but this time he is very focused given that he is coming off a poor season at home. The BGT 2024 (Border-Gavaskar Trophy) five-Test series will begin on November 22 in Perth.
Kohli scored just 91 runs in the recent three-Test series against New Zealand at home which India lost 0-3. Kohli’s highest score in the series was a half-century, but the manner of his dismissals posed lots of concern for fans and experts alike.
The Indian contingent arrived in Australia on November 10 and 11, but Virat Kohli had come to Australia with his family a couple of days early and since then, has been focused on tackling issues with his batting.
The WACA's practice nets in Perth are the scene of a recently viral video showing Virat Kohli including his cover drive and front-foot defensive stances.
In his first Test in Perth back in 2012, Kohli demonstrated resilience with scores of 44 and 75, and in 2018, he famously scored a brilliant 123 at Optus Stadium while leading the team as captain.
Jasprit Bumrah, India's speed leader, can also be seen in the video bowling in time as he prepares to take on Australia's top order. Sarfaraz Khan and Shubman Gill, two young stars, are also seen having fun on the pitch side while sitting on buckets of water.
