After the match, Ashwin posted a photo of himself with a Player of the Match trophy with the caption reading: “Great game and a memorable win.”

Quoting this tweet, Sri Lankan journalist at DailyCricketSL, Nibraz Ramzan took a dig at the veteran offie saying that he should’ve given this award to Mominul Haque, who dropped a sitter at short leg.

He posted: “You should have handed this ???? to Mominul Haque, Who dropped that dolly.. had he bagged it, India all out for 89 for sure.. @Ashwinravi99

Not the one to take digs lying down, Ashwin quoted Ramzan’s tweet and incinerated him saying that he thought he had blocked him on Twitter, but then remembered that it was another Sri Lankan cricket journo Daniel Alexander, who is known for his vile tweets on the Indian team.

Ashwin tweeted: “Oh no! I thought I blocked you, oh sorry that’s the other guy. ???????????? what’s his name?? Yes Daniel Alexander that’s the name !! Imagine what you both would do if India dint play cricket
