After losing the three-match ODI series 2-1, Team India are dominating Bangladesh in the ongoing two-Test series.
The visitors won the opening Test by a big margin of 188 runs and they are in the driver’s seat in the second game as well.
In the first Test at Chattogram, India went with the combination of three spinners and two pacers. Hence, Kuldeep Yadav featured in the playing XI and the wrist-spinner picked eight wickets to earn the Player-of-the-Match award.
However, the tourists dropped Kuldeep for the ongoing second Test at Dhaka to accommodate left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat in the playing XI.
Unadkat’s inclusion also meant that Shardul Thakur remained on the bench. Shardul had warmed the bench in the opening Test as well.
After getting overlooked, the all-rounder seems to be upset as he liked some controversial tweets. One of the users tweeted that there is politics behind Shardul's absence and the cricketer liked that post.
Shardul liked another tweet which suggested that the team selection is influenced by Twitter trends nowadays.
Shardul Thakur has represented India in 8 Tests so far, scoring 254 runs with three half-centuries and also claiming 27 wickets at an average of 24.44.
