Ishan Kishan is the name on every tongue thanks to his amazing achievement of hitting a double century in the third ODI between Bangladesh and India in Chattogram on December 10. India won the match by 227 runs to end the ODI series 1-2.
Kishan became the youngest to score an ODI double century at 24 years and 145 days and also hit the fastest double ton in the format, which came off 126 balls breaking Chris Gayle’s record of 138 balls.
He was on song with the bat and hammered 10 sixes and 24 fours in his knock that ended even before the last 10 overs began.
In fact, his knock overshadowed the fact that Virat Kohli, with whom he added 290 runs for the second wicket, had scored his 72nd international and 44th ODI century as well, as India posted 409/8 in 50 overs.
After his record-breaking knock, Ishan Kishan was seen having a chat with Shubman Gill about his knock in a video posted by BCCI on the official Twitter handle.

The other players had also batted a lot in the nets and batting here was helpful. Surya bhai did the same thing in the World Cup and he did really well there. I did it and I got 200 as well,” Ishan explained.
Ishan Kishan joined fellow Indians Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Rohit Sharma in the elite double-century club in ODIs.
